Lauridsen Group Founder Nixon Lauridsen
Nix Lauridsen is the founder of the Lauridsen Group (LGI), in Ankeny, Iowa. Now retired, he drove operations at LGI as the chief executive officer, a position that entailed the management of six businesses with a combined 3,000 employees. Over four decades, he rehabilitated the struggling family business and established an executive headquarters known for its cutting-edge research. Nix Lauridsen was also responsible for operations at research facilities in Denmark, Spain, and other parts of the world, with an overriding mission of increasing the effectiveness of the global food system. During his career, he completed many health and nutrition objectives, while also supporting philanthropic projects in the areas of education, arts and culture, and community improvement, among others.
Mr. Lauridsen received his law degree from the University of Iowa. He also holds a finance degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was inducted into the Iowa Business Hall of Fame in 2017. His interests outside of work range from woodworking to repairing antique automobiles. He also enjoys attending opera and theater performances.
